I made these pieces at a time when I was seeking space to feel big emotions about the death of my brother. They explore how hard it is to allow space to fully feel sadness in our lives and how hard it is to let in the glimmers of joy and beauty for the first time after experiencing  devastating loss. The pieces are ultimately hopeful—an acceptance that grief never leaves but life and love keep growing bigger around it. These pieces were inspired by the song “Feel You” by Old Sea Brigade. The titles of the pieces come from the song’s lyrics, which perfectly capture that feeling of a lost loved one being with you all the time, everywhere.
